Josephine Gold, DVM

Dr. Gold grew up in New York City, New York and Reno, Nevada. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Mount Holyoke College, she moved to Oregon. She spent the next several years as a research associate in neuroscience research with primates before obtaining her doctorate at Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After special training in primate clinical medicine, she joined Midway Veterinary Hospital.

She is an avid animal lover and strives each day to make animal’s lives better, both physically and mentally, along with the people that love them. She has special interests in behavior, preventative medicine and primates.

In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at the Columbia Humane Society, and was a board member from 2009-2015. She also loves spending time with her wife and their several dogs and cats. When time allows, she loves to travel and experience new cultures. She is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, Oregon Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Shelter Veterinarians and the Lesbian & Gay Veterinary Medical Association.
