Dr. Fowler grew up in a farming community and has always had a love for animals. He has known his entire life that he wanted to practice veterinary medicine. He lived in Hawaii for 18 years, where he raised his three children. In 1992, he moved to Oregon and attended The College of Veterinary Medicine at Oregon Stat

Dr. Fowler grew up in a farming community and has always had a love for animals. He has known his entire life that he wanted to practice veterinary medicine. He lived in Hawaii for 18 years, where he raised his three children. In 1992, he moved to Oregon and attended The College of Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University.
He then attended Washington State University’s program for large animals. In 1998, he began to practice veterinary medicine at Midway Veterinary Hospital. Two years later, he became sole owner of the hospital.
He held a position as a board member at the Columbia Humane Society for several years. Although he no longer holds that position, he continues to support them in many other ways, including volunteering at the rabies clinics.
Dr. Fowler’s work keeps him very busy, but in his spare time, he enjoys working outside in his yard and at the hospital.

Dr. Burns grew up in Bend, Oregon. She got her Bachelors of Science in Animal Sciences from Oregon State University then continued on to get her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Since then she had been working at a small animal clinic in Chehalis, WA. until she moved back to the Portland area.

Dr. Burns became a veterinarian because she has always been fascinated with animals and how the body works. Her passion is working with small animals and pocket pets. She also enjoys working with small ruminants.
Dr. Burns has a daughter who aspires to help endangered animals of the world. She also has a crazy Jack Russell cross named Sara. Sara was raised by an assistant at her previous clinic. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and growing roses.

Melissa has been with us since July of 2008. Melissa is an aspiring, dedicated team player. She takes the lead of many projects that help the business grow. Melissa and her husband live in St. Helens, where they are raising their two sons. In her spare time, she created her own on the side business as a Vantel

Kimberleigh joined the Midway Veterinary Hospital team in 2009 as a Veterinary Technician. Her teammates love working with her because she brightens everyone’s day with her fun attitude and always gets the job done. Kimberleigh enjoys working at Midway Vet because she is a huge animal lover and enjoy

Kimberleigh joined the Midway Veterinary Hospital team in 2009 as a Veterinary Technician. Her teammates love working with her because she brightens everyone’s day with her fun attitude and always gets the job done. Kimberleigh enjoys working at Midway Vet because she is a huge animal lover and enjoys working with her coworkers. She is currently working on getting her NPIP certification for her birds.
Kim is very creative and is an amazing photographer. Kimberleigh is a bit of a thrift store junkie and (loves her son more than the world). In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding with her horses- Rio and Rookie. She also has three dogs – Rebel, Remi and Roxie; two cats named Derp Rooster, 5 Bourbon Red Turkeys and 15 Rhode Island Red chickens. Also she has a small hobby farm she runs with her boyfriend Dan.
